Four years ago, designer Philippe Starck caused a sensation with his “Boxinbox” collection, which he designed and completed in close collaboration with the Italian crystal and glass manufacturer Glas Italia. Now their cooperation continues: another furniture series was shown at the “Salone del Mobile” furniture fair. It's called “Dematerialized” and was inspired by the minimalist trend. A designer glass table for the dining area, a coffee table for the living room and a wall mirror complete the furniture range. The pieces of furniture fascinate with their precise manufacturing and an architectural look.
Designer glass table “Mari Cristal” is a real eye-catcher
The first designer glass table is called “Mari Cristal” and impresses with its sculptural look. The rectangular dining table has a 12 mm thick table top, a colored clear glass detail and metal legs. It is available in several versions: the glass detail that serves as an accent can be ordered in pink or green. The table legs are made from either high-gloss aluminum or bronze-finish aluminum and the table top can be made from clear or smoked tempered glass.
With its purist aesthetic, the “Mari Cristal” dining table has a decisive influence on the ambience of the room in which it is located. It clearly plays the main role in the dining room, but still fits harmoniously into various interiors and looks good in eclectic, minimalist and industrial-style interiors.
Wall mirror “Marlene” is a futuristic work of art
The “Marlene” wall mirror is confusingly similar to a modern work of art. The home accessory has heavily curved edges that create an optical illusion. The furniture designer wanted to show how easy it is to distort reality. The mirror is available in pink, silver or white. It can be staged particularly effectively as a soloist.
Stylish coffee table “Lady Hio” has marble legs
The elegant, purist aesthetic of the “Lady Hio” coffee table leaves a lasting impression. The marble table legs alone are very impressive, in combination with the extra thin table top made of frosted glass they look even better. The metal details, available in gold, bronze, nickel or copper, add the finishing touch to the design.
