A real box spring bed consists of a base with a spring-loaded box, the so-called box spring, a thick mattress and a final topper. Due to this construction, box spring beds are usually slightly higher than beds with slatted frames. The lying height is at a comfortable height of over 50 cm and makes it easier to get in and out. The double suspension and a comfortable topper, on the other hand, increase sleeping comfort compared to beds with slatted frames.
