Crafts for adults – decorating mirrors
For this oneDIY SpiegelYou can either get a new one in the shape you want or cut an old one into the shape of an octagon. To do this, you use a special knife called a glass cutter. You will need a metal ruler and sharpie, gloves and safety glasses, as well as sandpaper and the diagram in the following image to transfer the pattern. You create the pattern of stripes using contact paper, an X-Acto knife, and gold and transparent spray paint.
To cut to size, use all protective materials such as glasses and gloves and position the ruler so that you first form a square (if desired, mark it first with Edding). Make a cut with the glass cutter. The glass does not fall off straight away. Instead, you need to place the excess edge of the glass over the edge of the table and press down. The piece then breaks off perfectly. After you finish the square, cut the other corners too until you get an octagon. You can sand the sharp edges with sandpaper.
Then clean the surface with normal glass cleaner. Now cover the mirror with contact paper. Use the Sharpie to draw the pattern from the diagram onto this paper. The lines should be made a little wider. Then cut them out with the X-Acto knife and remove the paper where the strips are, revealing the mirror in those places. Now spray the entire surface a few times with the gold color. Then a transparent layer is added to seal the color. Now the contact paper is removed. With the help of the knife you can lift the corners and then easily peel off the paper. The attractive DIY decoration is ready!

Simple and creative craft ideas
Creative ideas can be made from a variety of things. Spruce up an old tray or create a brand new one by framing a wooden tray and then decorating it with colorful confetti. All you need is Mod Podge. You first distribute this on the tablet surface using a brush. Then add a layer of confetti, which you carefully press down with your hands. The whole thing is then sealed with more Mod Podge, which you simply pour onto the tray. Of course, the amount of Mod Podge you need depends on the tray size. Two pieces were needed for this example. Do not shake the liquid before using it as this will cause unsightly bubbles. Allow the glue to cure for at least 24 hours.
Artificial vertical garden with succulents
For everyone who has always wanted a vertical garden but doesn't dare to plant plants, this do-it-yourself room decoration is just the thing. You don't plant living plants in a frame, you simply make succulents yourself from ordinary paper or, if you like, crepe paper and can then wonderfully decorate a room with them. The idea is also great as a decoration for the fireplace, as a wall decoration or as a gift.
You will need craft paper in different shades of green and a wooden frame. First, frame a piece of paper and then start cutting out the elements for the succulents and gluing them together using a hot glue gun. A link to some instructions for different models of succulents can be found at the end of the article. Finally, the finished paper plants are simply glued to the framed paper. You can partially cover the frame so that the pretty decoration looks more natural.
