Whether personalized, with some kind of light or music effect or simply with funny motifs and patterns and even hand-knitted - the surprise is even greater when it appears unexpectedly from a beautiful packaging. Or are the socks not the main gift at all, but a small bonus? Even then they can be easily combined with the other gift. See how you can pack socks for Christmas in a beautiful or original way.
Quick and easy in a wrapping paper bag
We know not everyone has the talent to handle wrapping paper accurately. It always looks so beautiful! You will be happy to know that packing socks can be really easy and doesn't take much time if you choose this option:
- Simply cut a piece of wrapping paper large enough to enclose the package of socks. The ends of the paper must overlap slightly for this. The best way to check this is to place the socks on the paper once before cutting it off.
- Take the socks down again and fold two opposite edges of the paper towards the middle. We remind again that they must overlap.
- Tape them together with tape.
- Now take one of the open sides in front of you and fold it over a few times. Fix with tape.
- Insert the socks into the bag you received through the other opening.
- Fold the edge over on this side a few times and secure with adhesive tape.
- If you want, you can now add a bow or other decorations.

A paper bag with a handle
You can also modify and expand the basic version a little by adding pretty ribbon handles. This makes the gift packaging look even more elegant and interesting.
In principle, you can proceed as in the instructions above, except that you wrap a piece of ribbon at the last opening. To do this, simply stick it to the left and right of the paper and start wrapping.
Or you can first fold a nice base like in the following example, which is anything but difficult. The gift ribbon is then placed around the bag and the paper is folded down and over it. Don't forget to put the gift inside first!

Make a clutch for the ladies
This version of a paper bag, which is reminiscent of an elegant clutch, is also cute and creative. This is how it's done:
- Fold the long edges of an elongated piece of paper inwards.
- Then fold up one of the shorter sides to create a pocket. Stick the paper together there (e.g. with double-sided tape).
- Fold the corners of the other side diagonally inward and glue them in place.
- Put the socks in the bag.
- Fold the page with the folded corners down, with the edge above andnot withshould finish on the bottom side.
- Punch holes in the fold you just created in two places and tie the ribbon there.
- Attach a decorative bow.

Wrap socks like candy at Christmas
The gift looks even more interesting if you give the socks in packaging that looks like candy. So if you feel like investing a little more time in the design, you can do so using the instructions. We recommend using slightly thicker wrapping paper for this type of packaging.

This version is even simpler, in which the pair of socks is wrapped in tissue paper and then decorated with a smaller piece of wrapping paper. Fold the edges of the wrapping paper inwards to get straight edges. Tape the paper together and then tie ribbons around the excess tissue paper to make the gift look like a cracker.
Tipp:You could also put the socks in a toilet paper roll beforehand and wrap both types of paper around it. This not only makes the packaging a little more stable, but you also don't immediately suspect what might be inside when you touch it.
Let the socks become packaging
That would also look very interesting. For example, imagine a wine bottle placed in one of the socks. Tie the sock together at the neck of the bottle with a pretty ribbon and attach the other sock there as well as a nice decoration or another gift.

How you can still pack bottlesfind out here.
You can wrap small gifts, such as lipstick, candy, a watch or even gifts of money, in a pair of socks. Of course, this still needs its own packaging. For example, you can make a pyramid like the example below. For this you will findin this articlea template to print out. You just need to cut a hole in one of the sides through which the sock's motif can appear.
