The airy, light look is decorative enough, so you don't need any complicated ideas or instructions to create an impressive wall decoration with pampas grass. Combine the fronds with a simple metal ring for a wall wreath, with a mirror or other base to create interesting arrangements that will last forever and can be used in any season.

Romantic wall decoration with pampas grass and mirror

You only need two things to make a decorative oneDesign your own wall mirror. Instead of a frame, pampas grass fronds come into play:

  • Pampasgraswedel
  • Mirrors of any size and shape
  • Hot glue

Although the mirror in the example is round, you can also use a square model if you want. The grass fronds will create the appearance of rays emanating from the mirror.

And the decoration is so easy to make:

  • Place a piece of cardboard, towel, blanket, or something else soft on the floor or table.
  • Place the mirror on top with the back facing up.
  • Begin gluing the fronds in place.

  • The stems and part of the fluffy part of the frond are completely on the mirror (shorten them if necessary).
  • To arrange it, it's best to first work the way you would cut a cake: first cut it in half, then into quarters, then into eighths and so on.
  • Make sure not to leave any gaps, but rather to create a tight arrangement.

Tipp:You are welcome to incorporate other grasses or dried flowers if the mirror is too simple for you.

Wreath for the wall with macrame

Two typical elements of the boho style combined in one decoration: macrame and grass fronds. If you haven't made macramé before, don't worry. This idea is really not difficult andeven for total beginnersfeasible.

  • Metallring
  • Makramee-Garn
  • Pampasgraswedel
  • Hot glue or clear thread

How is it done?

  • First create the macrame. Cut twelve strands of equal length. To get the right length, double the diameter of the ring and add a few centimeters to make it easier to knot at the end.
  • Take the first strand and fold it in half. Tie an anchor knot by placing the resulting loop around the ring and pulling the two ends through the loop, enclosing the ring.
  • Pull the two ends tight and tie a regular knot on the opposite side (this will no longer be visible later).
  • Repeat the steps with 5 more strands, tying them tightly together.
  • At a certain distance from this first group, repeat the whole thing with six more strands. Instead of simply stretching them to the opposite side, let them run sometimes above and sometimes below the other strands in order to get a nice weaving pattern (you can clearly see what is meant in the picture).
  • Cut off the excess string at the knots.
  • Glue or tie the grasses over it, forming a semicircle with the fronds.

Step by step for wall decoration with pampas grass:

  • Attach one or two floral foam grids to the wall where your decorations will be.
  • Then you can start pinning: First take the longer fronds and insert them into the sides around the floral foam.
  • Then continue with the medium length ones and fill in the remaining gaps with the shortest ones.
  • As you insert, slowly work your way forward to the center point.
  • Now attach the lamp in the middle, with the screws running between the fronds, i.e. past the floral foam, towards the wall. Complete!
