Make your own Christmas wreath – 4 simple ideas for DIY Christmas decorations

Christmas is fast approaching and we have a lot to do before the holidays. There are gifts that need to be bought and we need to make our apartment look great. If you want a simple but interesting andseasonal DIY wreathor want to make a Christmas wreath yourself, you need a few materials, a little skill and of course the right Christmas atmosphere. To do this, cut suitable figures out of felt, collect pine cones as additional decorations and wrap wool yarn around them to make your work of art look even more inviting.

With wool yarn and poinsettia

Materials:

  • Styroporring
  • Pencil
  • felt
  • Hot glue or hot glue gun
  • Yarn/wool yarn (colors of your choice)
  • decorative glitter stones
  • Ribbon

Directions:

  • First wrap the yarn, in our case 2 shades each of green and red.
  • Mark the shapes of the leaves on the green felt with the pen and then cut them out.
  • Repeat the process on the red felt to get large and small shapes.
  • Using the hot glue gun, glue the green and red cutouts onto the DIY Christmas wreath.
  • Put a little hot glue on the bottom of each small leaf and press both sides together.
  • Glue large red leaves in the shape of flowers. Position the smaller red leaves on top of the larger green ones so that they stand as shown in the picture.
  • Glue the decorative gemstones to the center of the poinsettia.
  • Tie the bow on the top of the wreath. This also serves as a connection for hanging.

With raffia and wool yarn

Materials:

  • Styroporring
  • white yarn
  • white felt

Directions:

  • First, wrap the right side of the ring with the raffia.
  • You can then wrap the left part of the wreath with the white yarn.
  • First draw stars on the felt and cut them out. Glue the star-shaped felt to the raffia.
  • Tie the bow at the top of the Christmas wreath so you can hang it up again.

Make a wire wreath

Materials:

  • Yarn – different colors of your choice – the more colorful, the better

Directions:

  • First, form a circle out of the wire using the pliers.
  • Wrap yarn around your four fingers except your thumb, then tie the yarn in the middle and finally cut off the ends.
  • Make several more colorful tassels or pompoms like this and then tie them onto the wire to create your fluffy Christmas wreath.

Make a wreath with pine cones

Materials:

  • Styroporring
  • Yarn – light blue, white, dark blue
  • two or more pine cones
  • white felt
  • Hot glue or hot glue gun
  • silver bow

Directions:

  • First wrap the dark blue thread on the top of the ring, followed by the light blue thread on both sides and the white on the bottom.
  • Using the glue gun, glue a few cones to the wreath, positioning them anywhere.
  • Draw small Christmas trees with the pen on the white felt and then cut them out.
  • Attach the white shapes around the pine cone with glue.
  • Tie the silver bow at the top of the wreath to hang it.
