Most of us wouldn't start our day without a hot cup of coffee. However, the benefits of coffee go beyond the morning pick-me-up as it can have surprising benefits for your skin and hair. What benefits does coffee have for our beauty and health?
Coffee is the gem you never knew you needed for healthy hair, and it's at the top of the list!
Coffee is full of antioxidants and they help protect the skin from free radical damage. This is good news for your skin because antioxidants counteract skin aging.
Some studies have shown that coffee has similar effects on the skinAnti-Aging-Skin care ingredient hyaluronic acid and that it can increase collagen and elastin production, making skin look and feel firmer. Coffee can also help hydrate the skin by reducing transepidermal water loss.

Coffee grounds can be quite harsh on sensitive skin, so you may want to skip the DIY scrub if your skin is sensitive. And independent ofyour skin typeyou shouldn't scrub too aggressively. You definitely don’t want to irritate your skin. Redness, stinging, and tenderness are all signs that you're overexfoliating.
To make about 200 ml of body scrub you will need:
60 g freshly ground coffee (preferably fresh, but dry coffee grounds are also suitable)
100g brown sugar
100g melted coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Tip: Choose fine coffee grounds, as coarse coffee may be too rough for sensitive or delicate skin.
Mix the freshly ground coffee and brown sugar. Add the coconut oil and vanilla extract to the coffee mixture. Mix until well combined. Gently rub the mixture over your body. Leave it on for several minutes. Rinse thoroughly. (Be careful when using the scrub in the shower as the oil can make the floor a little slippery).

6 tablespoons very fine coffee grounds

Hair conditioner with coffee prevents hair loss
Every woman loves it when her curls shine. However, most people struggle with hair loss. Coffee contains caffeine, which when applied to the scalp finds a path to the roots and prevents further hair loss. Just brewstrong coffeeand let it cool down. Shampoo your hair as usual and pour the cooled coffee over your head.
You can place a large bowl under your head to catch the excess and pour it over your head again for extra coverage. Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it on for up to an hour. Rinse with warm water and allow to air dry or style as usual. This also helps darken the hair (it may not be ideal for women with light skin tones), adds shine, and strengthens the strands.
