Fashion for chubby people is also trendy

Oversize collection, plus-size fashion, fashion for chubby people – there are many names for clothing from size 40. Most have a bad aftertaste. Those who wear these fashions do not conform to the contemporary ideal. They are too thick for the designs presented on the fashion show catwalks.

But stop! This is exactly where a rethink has been taking place for some time. It's not just department stores that cater to the general public that have recognized how valuable the wealthy target group is. Star designers and luxury labels are also increasingly relying on curvy models. These are just a few of the reasons why plus size fashion no longer has anything to do with tent-like covers far away from trends.

The fashion industry has also recognized this. Current collections from relevant brands and online shops are designed specifically for chubby women, but are just as trendy as the normal fashion lines.

Sure, the Gisele Bündchens and Toni Garrns of this world and all the pretty angels from “Victoria's Secret” make a killing walking down catwalks and posing for cameras. But now her strong colleagues sometimes get more for their modeling jobs. Internationally successful plus-size models such as Ashley Graham, Tara Lynn, Robyn Lawley and Chloe Marshall receive a higher salary than many of their thin colleagues despite (or perhaps because of) their dress size of 42.
