At Paris Fashion Week, Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen presented her new unique collection for Spring/Summer 2015, inspired by the continuous shapes of chaos. To match her futuristic 3D-printed dresses, her colleague and compatriot, Jólan van der Wiel, designed unusual women's shoes with thorn-like decorations and "spiky" accessories such as belts, jewelry, choker necklaces and clutches. The unique texture of the designer shoes and accessories is made of resin combined with iron filling and pigments; The material was passed through the spines using strong magnets.

The wedges combine nature, technology and art. The spikes in the front part of the shoe are relatively smaller than those in the heel area, which creates an impression of dynamism. The raised heel also contributes to the shoe looking somewhat unstable and threatening.
A minimal color palette of black, white and gray was used in the footwear collection to highlight its texture. The unique pigmentation from pure black to marbled dark gray makes the wedges unique. This ensures that no two pieces are alike.

The fashion show fromIris van Herpengot the real wow effect thanks to Jólan van der Wiel's models. The 3D printed “Magnetic Movement” collection was the second collaboration between the two designers after Van Herpen's Fall/Winter 2013 collection, presented last July.
