Asian living style: the “Chameleon” villa in Indonesia promotes living close to nature

The “Chameleon” villa in Indonesia promotes the relationship between people and nature in a very special way - thanks to the extensive green roof, the holiday home blends harmoniously into the picturesque surroundings, and the spacious glass facade opens the modern, minimalist building to the nearby forest and several winter gardens Climbing plants also create the impression in the living area that you are sitting outside. The seamless transition between inside and outside is typical of new Asian buildings; the talented architects from Word of Mouth have certainly developed the concept further. The end result is an Asian living style where luxury and glamor meet coziness.

Aisatic living style - modern house facade promotes the relationship between architecture and nature

The holiday home is located in the Kediri area, right next to the village of Buwit, south of Bali. The terrain has a steep slope, which the architects took advantage of and created a hillside villa. The building opens up to the forest and the nearby river - the beautiful nature inspired the WOMH office to create their design. The glazed southern facade was simply inadequate for them - oneextensive green roofsallows the boundary between nature and man to merge completely. Native ground cover, ornamental grasses and climbing plants were used extensively - in the end, from a bird's eye view, the facade can hardly be distinguished from the plants and trees. Even the infinity pool was deliberately covered in green tiles - so it looks like a pond.

Nature also influences the interior design and furnishings in the hallway. A staircase, densely surrounded by bushes, leads to a small bridgea garden pond. The entrance to the house is designed to be harmonious with the overall concept - there is no front door, but you go straight into the generously glazed living room. Screened from the street by a high stone wall, the living area opens up to the river and offers a clear view.

Comfortable furnishings leave nothing to be desired

The spacious living area leaves nothing to be desired - the room is divided by a partition. The living room, with parquet flooring, is furnished with furniture made from natural materials, typical of Indonesia. Two wicker stools, a coffee table made of recycled wood and designer leather armchairs together with the long sofa form a comfortable lounge area. An inviting seating area with decorative cushions and seat cushions is located right next to the room divider. Behind the plaster wall is the minimalist kitchen, with a cooking island and dining area. There, too, the large round dining table and the pendant lights made of ratan attract attention. In contrast to this is the gray wall made of exposed concrete, which makes the dining area stand out better.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are located on the second floor - nothing is missing here either. From the luxurious and comfortable beds, to the free-standing bathtubs with a view of the planted courtyard, to the exotic home accessories -the furniture and decorationform a harmonious overall picture and ensure comfort and a wellness ambience. A large balcony with glass railings offers the opportunity to relax with a book in the shade after a long day by the pool.

It is a modern holiday home where the residents can relax without having to forego the comforts of life in the city. A house where nature actively influences the interior design, just as the Asian furnishing principles say. A place of relaxation and serenity.
