The more the world becomes globalized, the more people look for a place where they can be in touch with nature. Since everyone needs a break from hectic everyday life, nature is the best place to relax. For this reason, more and more people are choosing a home in a natural area that becomes a private retreat. The architects from Studio Miti in Thailand have designed four small wooden huts in the forest that are in close connection with the surrounding nature. You can find out more about the idea behind the project and its architecture in this article!
A family from Uthai Thani, Thailand wanted to one daylive in the forest, so they planted trees in their backyard. Today, 30 years later, when the parents are already retired, the trees are large and form a small forest. The architects designed the four small wooden cabins in the forest specifically for the property so that they fit perfectly between the trees. They chose an unusual cross shape for the wooden houses.
The cabins are designed with a wooden facade to perfectly harmonize with the natural landscape. They fit in wonderfully between the trees and create a beautiful overall picture. From the windows of each hut opens anice viewon the forest.
The wooden huts in the forest are raised off the ground and each other hut is built 1.20 meters higher than the previous one. So they have a different vantage point. Nevertheless, the wooden cabins in the forest share a common terrace with a wooden deck, which is also above ground. In this way, there is a connection between the individual houses so that the residents and their guests can spend time together on the terrace.
Each cruciformCabin in the forest areahas a total of five separate areas: a terrace, hallway, living area, bedroom and bathroom. They are rustically furnished and have a simple design. The windows open upwards so that they also serve as awnings.
The outdoor area is comfortably furnished, with various wooden garden furniture and comfortable hammocks. In addition to the trees, there are many potted plants on the large terrace, which nicely round off the natural overall picture. In the small wooden huts in the forest you have everything you need to live in connection with nature.
