This very special house in Colombia is characterized by an unconventional construction method that uses various modern shapes. However, the modern architecture is not the only thing that impresses about the design of the house. Lush gardens fill both the indoor and outdoor areas with freshness, transforming the entire property into a green oasis. All areas around the house are greened, so that you get a beautiful view of the greenery from every room.
The “Garden House” project is located in Medellin, Colombia and is designed by architects Edgar Mazo and Sebastián Mejía from the Connatural architecture studio. The total area of the house including the gardens is 550 square meters. These include several lush gardens, garden ponds, a swimming pool and of course the house. The green areas can be seen from every part of the house and allow residents to have anature-loving way of life.
In the middle of the house there is an inner courtyard that still functions as a terrace. The outdoor furniture, which is placed on a wooden deck, provides more comfort. From this area you get a view of both the inner courtyard and the other parts of the house.
Water is life, which is why there are water zones in the outdoor area of this green house. A swimming pool with a glass wall is a real eye-catcher and the several garden ponds are beautifully planted so that they look really natural.
The internal facades of the house are with manylarge windowsequipped that bring nature into the interior. This means you can feel as if you were outside, even inside. The windows also allow a lot of natural light into the house, making the rooms appear particularly bright and spacious.
The special architecture divides the house into different areas, which are connected to each other with wide staircases. This created some intermediate spaces that serve as passageways between the living areas. The interior is minimalistic, with concrete walls, solid wood floors and beautiful views over the beautiful gardens.
