Four episodes, four completely different criminal cases
We don't want to spoil too much. But this much can be revealed: every episode is completely different. In thefirst episode ?December?(by Mariko Minoguchi), a completely normal 18-year-old (Samuel Benito) ends up in a nightly nightmare full of unfortunate concatenations after a rather drunken visit to the disco. The boy's fate is staged like a horror film and is almost unbearable. That's a quicker way to tell itsecond film ?The Panther?(by Jan Bonny). A milieu study. The brilliantly eccentric Lars Eidinger plays a hopelessly crazy undercover agent who wants to free his daughter from drug addiction and rip off both the police and a criminal gang. A thrilling performance! Thethird episode “Your Brothers?”(by Helene Hegemann) is a courtroom drama with Lavina Wilson and examines the question of why five boys from Berlin killed their sandpit friend with dozens of knife stabs. Thefourth and final part ?Love by Proxy?(by Faraz Shariat) is a loneliness drama. Jan Henrik Stahlberg (?Muxmäuschenstill?) heartbreakingly plays a lonely widower who tries against all reason to save his supposed girlfriend.

Conclusion: ?Time crime? is the anti-crime scene? and that's why it's so brilliant
The series is an alternative to Germany's popular Sunday evening "crime scene". Younger and more innovative. Certainly a bit voyeuristic too. But above all more radical and merciless. And therefore all the more haunting. The four episodes are not classic whodunit crime stories in which investigators go on a hunt for criminals. The focus is on the big why: Why do people become criminals? And why couldn't the crime be prevented? Why don't we let the cases go? See for yourself: You can stream the mini-series here now!
