Pensions: The numbers of a current study are alarming
Women in particular push the topic of old -age provision in front of them.
Pensions are an important topic. And yet many push it in front of them. According to a current study on behalf of AXA, women in particular deal too little with their financial security in old age.
"Provision is important", pretty much everyone has heard this sentence from us before. And there is definitely something true. Especially with regard to your own pension, it is better to think about it sooner than later. Because very few can afford the standard of living with their pension, which they are used to as employees with a full -time salary.

But many push the topic in front of them. This is also proven by the numbers of a current oneYouGov study on behalf of Axa. As part of the study, a total of 2,013 people in Germany were interviewed in September 2023. The results are alarming: Women in particular are plagued by worries when it comes to their financial future.
Women under 30 in particular push the pension in front of them
According to the pension study, 47 % of women and 37 % of men stated that they would actually have to deal with pension provision more, but are currently not doing it. 56 % pushMost often women under 30The topic of retirement in front of it. One reason for this is the fear of poverty in old age.
The postponement also has a mental impact: According to the study, only around 38 % of women are looking forward to retirement because they take care of their financial situation. 63 % of women are more afraid of the topic of old -age provision than before.
Ignorance is also a reason for postponing the important topic. Overall, 52 percent of those under 30 stated that they did not have enough knowledge of old-age provision and therefore do not deal with it.

The concern for your own livelihood in old age does not come from somewhere. According to the Axa-Alterspreisorge expert Claudia Flues, the financial future for women who retire is significantly blacker than in men:
“The concern of women is absolutely justified. Unfortunately, it is the case in Germany that on average, women receive around a third less age income. Accordingly, the majority of women are forced to make an additional privately for old age. However, reality looks different. "

A group that is particularly affected: women who work part -time. 32 % of the women working part -time has concern about financial ruin in old age. According to the study, 40 % of the women working part -time do not save for their pension. This in turn leads to worrying dependence when women are dependent on the well -paid partner.

The fact that a partner should pay in the relationship for the pension of the low earner is possible for very few (31 %). Here, more men (34 %) than women (28 %) agree to the statement that the better earner should support the other in building retirement.
