You only need to plan 15 minutes for this dessert. Perfect as a stress-free dessert for the Christmas menu or New Year's Eve.

A holiday dinner without dessert? Without me! Dessert is always possible and if it's as delicious as this espresso cream, I'll happily get another helping.

The airy cream is the perfect ending to end Christmas Eve or as a sweet idea for New Year's Eve (the espresso wakes you up nicely).

You don't need many ingredients to prepare it and it's ready in just 15 minutes. Wait a few more courses before dessert, but it's best to put it in the fridge until serving.

Espresso cream: heavenly dessert idea

So many advantages, there's actually no excuse not to prepare the espresso cream. Thanks to our step-by-step instructions, the dessert is guaranteed to be a success. So: let's go!

You need these ingredients for 4-6 servings:

  • 230 g (Soja-) Stage
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pack of cream stiffener (optional for soy cream)
  • 200 g (vegan) Quark
  • 200 g (vegan) mascarpone (alternatively: vegan cream cheese)
  • 1 THE Espressopulver
  • Cocoa powder (for garnish)

And this is how it is prepared:

1. First whip 200 g of cream with the sugar until stiff. If you use vegan soy cream, it's best to add a packet of cream stiffener too.

2. Mix the remaining cream, the quark, the mascarpone and the espresso powder together and fold this mixture into the whipped cream.

3. Now divide the cream into dessert glasses and place in the refrigerator until serving. Serve sprinkled with cocoa powder at the end.

Good to know:As you can see, you can also prepare the espresso cream completely vegan. To do this, you simply buy plant-based alternatives for cream, quark and mascarpone.

While you can often see vegan cream on supermarket shelves, you often look for quark and mascarpone in vain. But you can still prepare the dessert animal-free. Instead of quark, simply use vegan skyr, and for the mascarpone use a vegan cream cheese in the “natural” flavor.

For an elegant touch, top the dessert glasses with chocolate shavings or a thin layer of crumbled amarettini.
