In the video in advance: The best tip for ultra-crispy baked potatoes!
The hot air fryer is a true all-rounder. Here are our 3 most unusual recipe ideas for the air fryer.
Air fryers have become increasingly popular in recent years. No wonder. An air fryer can do much more than a “normal” deep fryer. Additionally, you save a lot of fat and oil as well as calories because an air fryer uses circulating hot air technology to cook food with little to no oil. Perfect for anyone who wants to eat healthier and more consciously.
Why is an air fryer a good choice?
But many of us, like me probably, use the air fryer primarily to prepare fries. But the kitchen appliance can do much more. The advantages are obvious:
- You save a lot of calories and eat healthier as a result.
- You save yourself the hassle of scrubbing the oven.
- A hot air fryer is easy to clean.
- No smell of grease in the kitchen.
So if you want to get more out of your Airfryer, you should read on. We'll show you three extraordinary recipe ideas that you probably wouldn't have thought you could prepare in the hot air fryer. So let yourself be surprised.
1. Pancakes from the air fryer
For breakfast or as a snack, pancakes always work. They should be particularly fluffy and taste natural. If you don't want to use a lot of oil in the pan, you should quickly try our recipe for hot air fryer pancakes.
Ingredients:for approx. 16 pieces
- 450 ml buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp butter (melted)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
- 250 g Flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 TL Natron
- some salt
Preparation:
- Put the buttermilk, eggs, melted butter and vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl and mix well.
- In a second bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, baking soda and salt. Gently fold the whole thing into the moist buttermilk mixture until a smooth dough forms. Then let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
- Cut baking paper into pieces of the right size for the air fryer basket (the paper should be a little larger so that it stands up on the sides) and place it inside.
- Now place a small ladle of the dough onto the baking paper. Depending on how big the basket is, you can bake several pancakes at once.
- Cook the whole thing in the Airfryer at 180 degrees for 5 minutes. Then turn all pancakes once and cook the other side for another 5 minutes.
2. Kaiserschmarrn from the hot air fryer
