An oatmeal quark bread is the perfect basis for a delicious low-carb breakfast that still keeps you full for a long time. In contrast to “normal” bread, it does not contain flour, but it does contain plenty of protein thanks to low-fat quark and oat flakes. Ideal for anyone who wants to lose weight healthily.

Oatmeal bread with low-fat quark: simple recipe
Ingredients:
- 500 g low-fat quark
- 250 g tender oat flakes
- 250 g wholesome oat flakes
- 2 Owner (Gr. M)
- 2 packets of cream of tartar baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven and prepare the mold:Heat up your oven180 °C circulating airbefore. Line a loaf pan with baking paper or lightly grease it.
2. Mix dry ingredients: Mix oats, salt and baking powder in a large bowl. Since the dough contains a relatively large amount of baking powder, you should use cream of tartar baking powder. It has less flavor than regular baking powder and creates a better mouthfeel.
3. Add quark and eggs and knead:Next, add the low-fat quark and eggs to the dry ingredients and knead everything well until a homogeneous dough is formed.
5. Pour the dough into the mold:Then shape the dough into a loaf and place it in the prepared loaf pan.
6. Bake Bread:Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes, until golden brown and firm.
7. Let cool and enjoy:Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the tin for about 10 minutes before removing it from the tin.
Cut the bread into slices and serve it with spreads, cream cheese or simply on its own as desired.

Pimp up homemade protein bread
The great thing about oatmeal curd bread: you can easily change it up and give it your own personal flavor.
For healthy fats, you can, for example, add a handful of chopped walnuts or hazelnuts to the dough. Pumpkin seeds are also a true superfood and taste great in bread.
Or you can replace some of the oat flakes with seeds and kernels such as linseed, sunflower seeds or chia seeds.
The homemade bread keeps well in an airtight container in the fridge and can also be frozen in slices to keep it fresh for longer.
