Sounds clean, but it is not: these 5 everyday objects are often forgotten during spring cleaning - unfortunately!
Spring cleaning means for many: windows on, music on, rags out. But while we diligently wipe and sort floors, the real germs often lurk in secret - and are quickly overlooked. It is high time to change that! Because there are a few things in the household that need much more attention than you receive from us.
What do all the things have in common? We use them very regularly. Most objects even every day. No wonder that a lot of dirt and bacteria accumulate here over time.
You should therefore put these five things on your cleaning agenda.

1. Mattress - dust, mites & Co.
A frequently neglected object when cleaning up and cleaning is the mattress. Even though we sleep on it night after night. Sweat, skin flakes and mites love the cozy climate under the covers. Therefore, you should definitely clean your mattress regularly.
I got used to sucking the mattress thoroughly every time I cover the bed. Those who do this regularly ensure significantly better sleep hygiene. Before you freshly overturn your bed, you should definitely let it out.
Tip: Treat mattress with soda
In addition to sucking, soda is a real insider tip. Natrone neutralizes smells and has an antibacterial effect. So why not apply to the mattress? To do this, simply suck the mattress, dust with soda, let it work in and suck off after a few hours.
Washable mattress sauces provide extra protection (there is here at Amazon)*.
2. Washing machine - yes, really!
Sounds paradoxical, but: the washing machine must also be washed. Especially if you perceive unpleasant smells or smell your laundry, you should act. Because bacteria and germs can quickly accumulate in the washing machine.
So let the machine run empty to 90 ° C once a month and use a washing machine cleaner, like this fromSagrotan*. You should also regularly free the rubber seals, the detergent compartment and the door from detergent residues and dirt.

3. Lamps - the dust gets stuck
Whether ceiling lamp or bedside lamp: dust stubbornly collects there - and not only ensures bad air, but also less brightness. At the latest for spring cleaning, you should take the time and clean your lamps properly.
It is best to clean lampshades with a microfiber glove or a dry swiffer. For lamps made of glass, you can of course also use glass cleaners. For safety, you should always pull the plug with lamps before you start cleaning.
Tipp:
4. Remote control - Netflix & ... bacteria?
Snack hands, couch evenings, no cleaning-the remote control is the silent hygiene loser in the living room.
Admittedly, until I read for the first time that the remote control belongs to the germ slinging par excellence, I have never given a thought about it. Now that was a few years ago, but you just forget the TV gadget super quickly.
When cleaning, make sure that the cloth is not too moist to avoid damage to the remote control. You can also use a cotton swab for hard -to -reach places between the buttons. Finally, you can wipe the remote control with a hygiene cloth.

5. Türklinken - small parts, large germs
We clean kitchen surfaces, the bathroom or the dining table - which we constantly touch and yet much less often follow: door handles. Germs and bacteria accumulate particularly in particular here.
So that you will no longer forget the door clinkers in the future, you should incorporate the cleaning into your regular cleaning routine. It is best to wipe over all door handles with a cloth moistened with vinegar water. Of course, you can also simply wipe them off with a disinfection cloth.
