For many, the “Game of Thrones” actress Emilia Clarke is a charming young woman. But behind her smile lies a sad life story: several years ago, the beautiful woman survived two serious brain operations. Now she wants to use her story to encourage other patients with aneurysms.
As the filming for the first season of the popularTV-Sendung “Game of Thrones”were over, the actress wanted to free herself from stress. To keep her body fit and bring variety into her life, she trained in the gym with a personal trainer. But every time she did exercises, she had a severe headache. Eventually they got so bad that she had to go to the hospital. During the examination there, a life-threatening aneurysm was discovered and the actress needed urgent surgery.
After the operation, doctors told her that they had discovered another aneurysm on the other side of her brain and that it could rupture or prove to be harmless. The star was left shaking while filming the second season and thought she could die any day. During an examination in 2013, it was discovered that the second aneurysm had also grown and she was operated on for the second time. A third brain operation followed shortly afterwards. The wounds have now healed and the scars are no longer visible. Now the actress wants to help other patients and has therefore founded a charity organization.
