The 60-year-old rememberedto the intimate decisionduring the episode of the “WTF with Marc Maron” podcast. He told the moderator Maron that he never wanted to get married before, let alone have children. However, that changed when Amal, 43, came into his life. “Listen, I didn’t want to get married,” Clooney said. "I didn't want to have children and then this extraordinary person came into my life and I fell madly in love and knew from the minute I met her that everything would be different." According to George Clooney, he and Amal had been married for a year when they decided to have children while taking a walk outside a friend's house.

The Hollywood star also recalled how they both found out they were expecting twins. He described the moment her doctor showed him Amal's sonogram. “I said 'little boy, fantastic. And then doctors said the other baby is a girl. I was amazed because I kind of wanted one.” Although George Clooney expected to only have one child, he said he loves being a father to twins. He and Amal welcomed twins Alexander and Ella in 2017. Today the father of the family feels like the happiest person in the world.
