How Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson fell in love

Back then, Liam had a reputation as a “ladies man,” but that didn’t bother Natasha for a moment. “I'm glad women like him because I know the reason why,” she said in an interview. On her 30th birthday, Natasha received a card from the Hollywood star. At the time he was on the set of the film “Schindler’s List”. His message was: “You are catching up with me. With much love, Oscar” (Liam’s name in the film). Natasha didn't find the greeting particularly romantic and decided to take matters into her own hands. She replied: “The card sounds like a letter from a friend. How is our relationship?” At that moment Liam Neeson realized he was in love with her. Shortly thereafter, in the summer of 1994, the couple married on a farm near New York. Her life began to flow very quickly. Less than a year into their marriage, the two became parents to their first son, Michael. Just 18 months later, their second son Daniel was born.

Unfortunately, Natasha died in an unfortunate skiing accident in 2009 at the age of 45. Unfortunately, it turned out that this was not just a small bump, but a fatal brain injury. Doctors told Liam Neeson that his wife had suffered brain death and he realized this was the end. “We both had a pact,” says the actor. “If one of us ever gets to this state, the other should pull the plug.” He then donated his wife's organs, which saved the lives of three people. The actor says that he found her caring, generosity and motherly love great and saw her as a role model.
