So it's time to stock up on some creative craft ideas to tide you over these days. Make great autumn decorations with pine cones by choosing one of our ideas and put yourself in the right mood at the same time.
You'll only need a few materials and green and orange paint for this pine cone fall decor project: a pine cone, a twig or stick, and paper wire. You can also replace the latter two with green pipe cleaners. Cut a piece of wire and wrap it around a pin to make a spiral, using acrylic paint, color the pine cone orange and the branch and wire green. Let the paint dry and then use hot glue to glue the branch as a stem to one of the long sides of the pine cone and the wire right next to it.
It's best to make several of these pumpkins at once and place them in groups. They can decorate the table and can also be displayed on a tray or in a bowl with other decorations.
Make a scarecrow as an autumn decoration with pine cones
You can use a large cone to make such a cute scarecrow and then set it up as an autumnal figure. For this fall decoration with pine cones you will need the following materials:
- big cone
- orange felt
- orange linen fabric
- Linen fabric in a natural color (also decorated with lace), approx. 15 cm wide and 25 cm long
- dried palm leaves or straw
- artificial sunflower and/or autumn leaves
- Piece of checked fabric in autumn colors
- String or paper wire
- big googly eyes
- Glue
Instructions for autumn decorations with cones
Place the cone in front of you, take the natural linen fabric, wrap it around the cone and glue the ends together. Insert a few palm leaves into the opening and then tie the linen fabric together at the top with string or wire. Temporarily remove the hat from the peg.
Take the plaid fabric and place it inside this hat. The right side points upwards. Glue the fabric into the hat and fold it outwards to create a brim. Cut out a triangle for the nose from the orange felt and first glue the hat and then the nose and the googly eyes onto the pine cone. You can then cut out two squares from the orange linen fabric to imitate patches. Decorate the hat with the sunflower and the leaf and the autumn decoration with pine cones is ready.
Door decoration for autumn
If you like natural decorations, you will be happy with an autumn decoration from the forest. The frame can also be redesigned to suit any season or occasion by simply hanging other decorations instead of pine cones. This is how it is done:
Paint the branches or sticks white with acrylic paint and let them dry. Then put four bundles of approximately the same thickness together to form a rectangle and tie the places where they cross with twine. You can also fix the whole thing with a few drops of hot glue or other glue. Now tie different lengths of twine around the tenons and then tie them to the frame. Complete! If you want, you can also make the autumn decoration with pine cones in a different color. The cones themselves can also be designed additionally. Then glue yarn to them as they lie in front of you.
As soon as you have used all the fruit and the glue has completely dried, the garland is ready and you can hang up your homemade autumn decorations with pine cones. It looks great at the window or spread loosely on a dining table. Or how about decorating the mirror with it or letting it run from one lamp to another?
