- Motive
- black paper or black felt-tip pen
- white napkins
- Napkin glue
- Paint brush
- LED tea light or fairy lights

- Print out any motif or draw one yourself. You can then trace it onto black paper and cut it out again or color it in with a black pen. Inour free templateYou will also find a few motif ideas.
- Stick the picture on the inside of the glass. It's best to use napkin glue here too, as it becomes transparent when it dries.
- Separate the individual layers of the napkin from each other. How many of these you will need depends on the size of the jar.
- Coat the outside of the mason jar with glue and place a layer of napkins over it. One layer is enough for light to shine through.
- Cover the entire glass with the paper and apply another layer of glue on top to seal it. The paper can also wrinkle, as this gives the surface an interesting texture. But be careful and don't tear the paper.
- Allow the glue to dry and set.
- Remove any excess paper from the mason jar.
- Decorate the neck and any other parts of the glass with decorative ribbons or chains.
- Place a tea light or a string of lights in the glass.

Small bird houses to hang as wedding gifts from children's hands
You can make such decorative ones out of popsicle sticksMake birdhousesand then decorate with birds made of felt or other motifs. You can also make the felt motifs yourself or buy them ready-made from a decoration or craft shop.
- ice styles
- Glue
- Any motifs made of felt or paper to design
- Hanging ribbons
An original wedding gift as a souvenir:
- Arrange 9 ice cream sticks staggered together. Try to create equal spacing.
- Place two stems crisscross at the top ends to create a roof. You can now check again that the lower stems do not protrude above. The roof should cover the ends as completely as possible.
- Glue the roof popsicle sticks in place. Be careful not to move the lower ones when doing this.
- Now glue a popsicle stick crosswise to the bottom end of the top vertical popsicle stick. This creates the bottom of the house while also holding the popsicle sticks together.
- Now you can decorate. A black circle imitates the entrance to the house. A bird can sit in front of it.
- Finally, glue a loop of a beautiful fabric or leather ribbon to the back so that the bride and groom can hang the house later.
If you want, you can also write down the names of the bride and groom as well as the date of the wedding somewhere.
