Make Easter baskets out of paper – what you need:

  • printed templates
  • Scissors or cutter knife with ruler
  • kitchen knife
  • Glue stick

Here's how you can make this type of paper Easter basket:

Print out the templates and cut them out along the outer, solid lines. You can trace the fold lines around the middle square and below the adhesive tabs a few times with the dull side of a knife or with a ruler if you used thick paper. This makes them easier to fold afterwards. Add glue to the tabs and form the cube. Finally, fix the handle on the inside and you can fill the baskets.

Then cut the two lower, inner lines (in the template these are the blue ones). Then fold the basket as shown in the instructions and glue the sides together. Finally, cut out a narrow strip for the handle. Glue this to the inside of the basket as well. Now you can fill the basket.

  • any paper (in the example from a paper bag)
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue

If you would like to make this pretty Easter basket out of paper, cut out an even number of strips from the selected paper (8 pieces in the example) that are as long as possible and 3 cm wide. Fold the strips widthwise twice so that you get 1 cm wide strips (this will make them more stable).

Now place four strips vertically in front of you and braid a fifth horizontally, placing it alternately over and under the four vertical stripes. Repeat with three more and you get the bottom of the basket. Push all the strips together tightly and fix them together here and there with glue (e.g. at the four corners of the floor).

Now work on the sides of the Easter basket by removing the protruding onesBraid strips. To do this, first place the two middle ones on top of each other. Then follow the steps in the picture instructions. If you accidentally braid it incorrectly, you can easily unravel the strips and repeat the steps again.

Once you are happy with the height of the basket, simply fold the excess strips inside and then secure them there with glue. Now you can make a handle out of the same paper (again 3 centimeters and folded twice, and of any length) and glue it in place and add other decorations as you wish.
