DIY Flamingo costume for women-with pants and T-shirt
Materials:
Rosa T-Shirt
5-6 fluffy pink feather boas
Rosa leggings or pink white pants with tie-dye effect, like this here
A lot of safety needles
Hardclams (bobby-pins)
Instructions:
1. With the safety needles, attach the feather boas to your pink t-shirt. Start around the neckline and work down. Crafts are not an exact science. You can cut your feather boas into smaller pieces or attach them in one piece. Gradually add more feather boas with a slight overlap until your T-shirt is completely covered on the front. They do the same on the back of the T-shirt.
2. The flamingo has very thin legs. To create this effect, you can put on striped leggings in pink and white. A batik pattern, like this one, also works very well. The tie dye pattern is created by wrinkling and subsequent coloring of the fabric. So you can give a completely new look with simple means of an old white pants.
3. The feathers that fell off the boas when tinkering can simply be put in the hair with a few hair clips.
The flamingo has a black, curved beak. The easiest way to make this is made of felt.
Materials:
Felt in black
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Double -sided adhesive tape
Instructions:
Cut out an elongated triangle made of black felt. Then fold the front part of the corners about in the middle, just like folding wrapping paper when you wrap a gift. With the hot glue gun, glue the folds together. Add double -sided adhesive tape at the top and attach the beak to your nose.
Can you stand on one leg like a real flamingo?
With skirt and tights
If you want to draw attention to your beautiful, slim figure, you can choose the following costume idea. The look consists of a figure-hugging gymnastics jersey, a mitch and tights, of course all in pink!
Materials:
- Gymnastics jersey in Pink, with long sleeves or one Shoulder
- rock tires
- Federboas in pink
- pantyhose in pink
- spray paint in pink
- Big springs in pink tones
– Fascinator-Hut
Tools:
- hot glue gun
- scissors
- wire cutter
Instructions:
1. Shake the can with the spray color and spray the fascinator hat from a distance of about 15 centimeters. Attach the large springs vertically to the fascinator using the hot glue gun.
2. Cut off the lower layers of the ripening rock so that it resembles a vokuhila rock (short, long at the back). To cut the metal rings, it is best to use a wire cutter. Spray the outside and inside of your mitch with the pink spray paint. It will dry almost immediately.
3. It is time to put together the costume in this order: put on the tights, the jersey and the ripple. Take the hot glue gun and glue the pink feather boas on your skirt.
If you cannot find one Shoulder jersey, just put a sleeve inside the Leotard. This really gives the Flamingo costume its shape.
So that the flamingo outfit becomes perfect, there is only a suitable face painting! Paint a mask or buy one in the shop. Put the make-up along the nose to conjure up a flamingo beak. Further in the article we will also show you a nice idea for face painting.
Little girls mainly wear pink clothes. So it will not be difficult to find something suitable for the basis of the costume. This can be a monochrome blouse and short shorts or rock. Then follow the homemade accessories that complete the outfit.
Materials:
1 Pink Federboa
Fleece fabric as meter goods, about 25 cm wide, in pink, orange, and babyosa
Rock or shorts
pink
Top in peach
Felt in black (a 23 x 30 cm leaf)
Felt in orange (a 23 x 30 cm sheet)
Children's hair
Scissors
Hot glue gun
1. First you should download and print out the template. Use them as a template to transmit the shape to black or orange felt. Cut out every beak shape and glue it on the head.
2. Roll the end of the feather boa a few times to form a circle that is slightly larger than the flaming coat. Glue the circle on the head and let the end of the feather boa hanging. Glue the eye in the middle of the circle. Then attach the flaming coat to the hair tire.
3. The springs for the skirt can either draw freehand on fleece or use a template again. Cut one or two pieces of every color - pink, orange and light pink - until you have enough feathers to completely cover the skirt.
4. Cut a piece of pink fleece that corresponds to your child's waist size. With the hot glue gun, glue the springs on the fleece belt.
5. Let your child put on the tights, skirt and the top. Tie the feather skirt around your waist. Then put on the hair tire and tie the free end of the feather boa like a belt on the waist. The Flamingo costume is ready!
A tulle skirt exudes a princess flair
You can also use sparkling tulle for tinkering a skirt instead of fleece. For the tulle skirt, combine pink leggings and a one shoulder jersey made of soft suicide. You can also decorate the leggings with strasstones. A flaming coat that is run by the child like a hand puppet could make the outfit perfect!
It is great fun for childrento carry a clanand play “fly”. Instead of a skirt, you can sew a cape with ruffles that represent the feathers of the flamingo. The wing should best consist of a light, sheer fabric that can flutter in the air. Girls will love this imaginative design!
Tinker a flamingo mask
Large, beautiful masks can not only give a costume the last touch, but also count alone, without cladding. You can make the self -made mask imaginatively decorate with springs, strasstones or felt. Of course, a beak should not be missing.
Children's make -up flamingo
