Harry Potter Gryffindor Cape

If you want to dress up as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley or Hermione Granger, you need a Gryffindor Robe. This method is so simple that it is ideal for beginners.

You need:

- black fabric
- For a fed robe: fabric of the same size in the colors of the Hogwarts houses. This should be red for Haus Gryffindor, green for Slytherin, yellow for Hufflepuff and blue for Ravenclaw.
- a sewing machine or sewing tool
- Scissors
- scale
- iron and ironing board
- the face
– Optional: Gryffindor-Aufbügler

Measure from the shoulder to the ankle. Measure the distance from the wrist to the wrist to determine how long your robe should be. Cut the fabric right. You need a rectangle with double length. Now cut an identical rectangle out of the red fabric.

Fold the black fabric exactly in the middle. Place your shoulders up on the fabric and stretch out your arms as shown. Set your feet apart about shoulder width. You need a helper who follows the shape of the robe around your body. The robe should have a very relaxed fit, so add a few centimeters. Measure 30 cm from the upper edge and mark the sleeves. Make sure that all measurements are even.

Cut along the lines. Make sure that the lower layer does not bundles or shifts during cutting. Do not cut along the top of the fabric where it is folded. Use your measuring tape to find the exact middle of the robe and mark it. Cut through the front of the robe. Be careful not to cut the top layer, not both. Fold the fabric edges 1.5 cm inside and flatten them with the iron.

As soon as your edges are finished, you can sew the red feed on the left side of the robe. Place the red robe in the black robe and make sure that the seams match and the sleeves are not twisted. Now you can sew the robes together.

As soon as the robe is finished, you can add the Gryffindor flap on the front or even attach a few buttons on the front.
