Instructions on how to make the carnival costume yourself

  • Take a cone out of the box as a headgear. This should represent the top of the cone and will later be covered by the fabric. So it doesn't have to be perfect. Roll the box together and stick the end with tape. Then cut off the protruding corner on the underside so that a straight edge is created.
  • Let someone put on the cone and put the orange fabric around the cone and person.
  • Start put it together from the top. Make sure not to make it too tight below the cone so that you can still move well. In addition, the fabric has to continue down.
  • Then take the tire and put the fabric at the bottom around it to get a hem through which the ring fits. Put everything together.
  • Now it is sewn. You can also do this by hand, which only takes more time. Sew the fabric wherever you put it. On the hem, however, leave an opening.

  • Open the tire and push it through the hem. You are welcome to glue it together with adhesive tape.
  • Sew the opening.
  • Uplain the costume and put it back on (or your model). Don't forget to put on the cardboard cone.
  • Cut holes for the arms into the fabric on both sides. You can also sew a hem here, but you don't have to.
  • Cut a hole for the face.
  • Design the cone strips with the reflector tape.
