Most people already have some of the necessary products in their household. However, if you are missing some of them, you can easily get them on your next purchase. For this simple guide you only need the following products.
– 1 EL Penatencreme
– 1 THE Babypuder
– Food coloring
Especially if you have a baby and love baking, these products will be in your household. They are also quite cheap products, so the DIY instructions are a great alternative to the purchased ones.
With the different colors you can create any shades and nuances depending on the quantity and mix. This way you get exactly the colors you need for your makeup. Think about this in advance in order to prepare all the necessary tones in a timely manner. Here are some variations for mixing the color after you have processed the powder and cream into a paste:
– 2 splashes of blue and 4 splashes of red for a dark blue color
– You get orange with 3 splashes of yellow and 1 splash of red
– 4 dashes of red mixed with the white paste turns into pink
– a regular yellow with three squirts of yellow food coloring
– 1 splash each of blue and green for turquoise
– 2 blue splashes for a light blue color
With this idea you will get cool makeup. However, it is important not to overdo it with the color. Too much food coloring can cause it to temporarily discolor the skin and later stay on the skin for a while even after make-up has been removed. To avoid this, try the color after mixing.
To do this, choose an invisible area on the body (e.g. the upper arm) and apply the product to it. Leave this on for at least an hour. Afterwards you can wipe them off. If color remains on the skin, it is better not to use the make-up. Mix the makeup again with less color.
If you want to make the look more interesting, you can do this with additional elements such as horns, elf ears, warts, a nose bump or other things. Of course, you need the right mixture for this, which you can make yourself. You don’t need any fancy products for this either.
– 50 g Flour
– 25 g Vaseline
– liquid makeup
As you can see, these are again simple and sometimes everyday products that you can quickly get hold of in the store or pharmacy. The perfect idea that is also cheap!
The make-up should approximately match the color of the person's skin. Flour and petroleum jelly are mixed together until a smooth mixture is formed. This mass is then used to form arbitrary elements. Beforehand, the respective area is rubbed with Vaseline. In this way, the homemade clay is better fixed to the skin.
Whether it's ears, bumps or another element, it is first pre-shaped with your hands and then placed on the respective spot and pressed firmly. Before you can apply the rest of the Halloween make-up, an even transition between the clay and the skin must be achieved. Use the makeup for this. Apply it to the edges and blend evenly.
Another variant of facial clay can be made with the help of gummy bears. Yes, you read that right. They contain gelatine, which can be shaped wonderfully when heated. For this reason it is perfect for the so popularto shape wounds. The mass is prepared as follows:
For this original way, use the bright gummy bears. These are heated in the microwave with a little water, where they melt. This mass is then used for modeling. It is important that you wait a while until the mixture cools down so that you don't burn yourself. Try this on the more sensitive bottom of your arm.
It is best to apply the gelatine to the selected area of skin with a wooden spatula. You can now shape the mass onto the skin while it is still warm and create wounds. To make the wound look more real, you can add some red food coloring to the gelatin while it is still hot. A bloody effect is created. Then you can apply the Halloween makeup to match the gelatin to your skin color. You can also achieve a great effect with cornflakes or sliced almonds, which you fix with liquid latex. You can find out exactly how in the video above.
Many costumes only become truly perfect when the right wig or an artificial beard is added to the Halloween makeup. These parts of the costume are often quite expensive. It's good that you can make these yourself again. Of course, you should buy a new sweeper that you can use for this.
– Hand brush or wool
- Pavement
– Liquid glue
– Nagelschere
First, think about what shape and size you want the beard to be. Cut the plaster accordingly and with a suitable shape. Now you need the beard hair, which you can get by either cutting off the bristles from the sweeper or cutting wool threads. These are then stuck in bunches onto the plaster by dripping a little glue onto them beforehand. You decide the direction of growth yourself.
Now it may be that the beard is not yet perfect. For this reason, the final step occurs as soon as you have stuck it on using the adhesive side of the patch. You can now better identify protruding or too long “hairs” and trim them with nail scissors. The beard should only be glued on after the Halloween make-up.
So that you can enjoy your painstakingly homemade Halloween make-up throughout the evening and that nothing smudges, you should of course fix it. Various powders and sprays are available for this purpose, which can be easily applied to the finished make-up or sprayed and later easily removed with soap and water. Hairspray is often recommended for fixing, but this usually causes cracks in the make-up.
