These DIY napkin rings as table decorations in the shape of acorns are not only quick and easy to make, but also create a pleasant atmosphere on the festive table. Just give it a try!
You need:
– Felt acorns
– artificial wire grape vine
– a hot glue gun
First you have to buy the felt acorns or make them yourself, which is not that difficult. However, if you want to skip this step, you can also search for ready-made acorns online or at a craft store.
Next you need to make the actual ring for the napkin ring. The floral wire made to look like a vine is great for this. Such wires can be found in any larger craft store, where you can find floral foam and other things for making bouquets.
To make the napkin rings, unwind a 12- to 15-inch piece of wire and bend it into a ring. This works best if you wrap it three times around the first three fingers of your hand. This should give the ring the perfect size. But it's best to just try it out.
All you have to do now is attach two or three felt acorns to the ring with the hot glue gun and the first ring is ready.
Making the acorns is the part that actually takes the most time. Once these are ready, it only takes a minute or two for each individual napkin ring.
