How to fold Christmas trees with napkins
- Place the cloth napkins squarely together. To do this, fold the right side once to the left and then fold the bottom side up.
- For the next step, the napkin should be placed in front of you with the completely open tip pointing downwards, i.e. towards you.
- Fold the top layer of napkins up to the top corner, but leave a small gap to it.
- Repeat with the next layer, placing it just below the previous point. This distance should be the same as the first layer of fabric to the top corner.
- Continue like this with the last two layers.
- Now fold the right and left corners of the folded napkins back so that they are on the back. You can also turn the fabric over first if it's easier for you that way.
- Turn the obtained Christmas tree over again, with the side that was previously on top now being on the bottom.
- Now fold the tips inwards, starting with the top one.
- Fold the lowest tip, i.e. the fifth, up and under the former fourth tip.
After folding the tree from napkins, you can additionally decorate each individual specimen. Beads or pompoms are suitable for this, while standing paper Christmas trees can also be wrapped with a string of lights, for example. Evergreen branches are also very suitable, as are bells or cinnamon sticks for the trunk and star anise for the top of the tree.
