Design floor made from mirror shards – living space as a work of art

A living space was designed as a creative center in 2015 by Gisele Taranto and LZ Studio in Rio de Janeiro. When it comes to design, it is impossible to single out a highlight from all the works of art and unconventional design solutions. The design floor is really sensational and undeniably breaks all clichés. It consists of glazed panels full of broken mirrors.

The space was designed as an idea center that sparks new creative thoughts. The society of creative professionals gathered there for 40 days to discuss topics and find new onesmore effective solutionsto come. The designers who designed the place aimed to use floor design to take people out of their comfort zone and thereby stimulate them to think new things.

The rough character of the concrete-look walls and the industrial-style ceiling form the guiding principle for the complexity of the design and the 'overlapping' of ideas, motifs and design circumstances. The several different works of art can be presented particularly well in this exclusive environment. LAB LZ also housed several design objects that are also available at Casa Cor in Rio de Janeiro.
