Concrete plant pots for raised beds & modern garden designs

When it comes to concrete, opinions are divided. Some think it is a modern and attractive material, which is why it is often used for modern house design. However, others find concrete boring, gray and cold and avoid it for these reasons. However, this material can look really attractive with some green plants. We're proving this to you today by introducing you to some concrete planters that have been used to design modern gardens. They provide a neat modern atmosphere.

Concrete planters for texture in the garden

These concrete planters are located in theFront yard of a houseand frame the path to the entrance. This way they welcome guests in a lovely way. The green plants not only show off the concrete flower pots but also the plants themselves, as they are concrete due to the gray background. The design comes from SHKS Architects.

with seating

These attractive concrete planters were designed by Lucy Bravington, partly in a round shape. You create a small backyard, not only guaranteeing lots of greenery thanks to the tiered arrangement but also comfortable seating to enjoy the lush plants. If you don't like the gray color of the concrete, you can paint the concrete planters in white or any other color, as shown here.

They are perfect for building raised beds. But such ornamental gardens made of gravel, stones and desert plants also look breathtaking. You can also use the concrete plant trough to create a rock garden. The designers at Grounded – Modern Landscape Architecture came up with this original idea.

SquarerPlanter

If you would like to design the bucket square, you can choose from different shapes. Even an ordinary onesquare shapeas in this example can look remarkable and transform the trough into the center of the garden. The tub visually separates the entertaining area from the rest of the garden and was developed by Envision Landscape Studio.

Lushplanting

You can plant the concrete planters as you wish. The concrete planters accommodate all plants compactly and provide structure and order, while the plants are at a comfortable height and are easier to care for. These models are a design by Kathleen Shaeffer Design.

If you want round raised beds made of concrete, you can either pour them yourself or simply use ready-made pipes to create concrete planters. Finally, the latter are simply filled with soil and can then be planted without any problems. Alison Douglas also came up with this idea, who also used the round shape for the cozy seating area, creating an attractive design in the garden.

Garden designwith concrete

Two concrete planters are located directly opposite each other and frame the garden path in an attractive way. The concrete is combined with an attractive wooden floor covering, which together creates a modern look and guarantees a relaxing time outdoors. The design is by Jeffrey Gordon Smith Landscape Architecture.

Beton inWood look

The variants from Uptic Studios were designed to visually imitate wooden boards. The same design can also be found on the house facade. The buckets are divided into two parts and extend over two levels. They decorate the entrance area of the house with their pretty plants and are perfectly combined with a natural stone floor.

SmallGardensdesign

Concrete planters are a welcome idea in small gardens because their height makes even a minimally planted garden look much more lush. That is also the case in this example. The concrete planters take up the edge of the garden and provide enough greenery in the otherwise bare outdoor area. Rhodes Architecture + Light was responsible for the design.

SizePlantermade of concrete

You can also make the garden interesting by choosing concrete planters at different heights. These levels add texture to the garden and make it more organized. Whether you are planting flowers or vegetables, the raised beds make the work more comfortable. Better Landscape has without a doubt done a great job with this design.
