This is the quickest way to clean the oven door using home remedies

The powerful household remedy duo vinegar/baking soda should not be underestimated when cleaning the oven. Everyone has heard of the impressive properties ofBaking soda in the householdheard, and the cleaning product will not disappoint you here either. For brilliant results, you can use another home remedy - good old aluminum foil.

What you need:

  • 200 ml hot water or vinegar
  • Baking powder or baking soda
  • Aluminum foil

Directions:

  1. Open the oven door and pour hot water or white vinegar over the inner pane.
  2. Sprinkle baking soda on top until the disk is completely covered. (Alternatively, you can make a thick paste of water and baking soda and brush it on the window.) Then let it take effect for about 30 seconds.
  3. Form a ball out of aluminum foil and scrub in a circular motion for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Use a damp paper towel and wipe off the excess.
  5. The baking soda will leave streaks, so wipe it off again with water.
  6. Finally, wipe with a dry paper towel and the oven door will shine again!

Get the inside window clean with shaving foam

Shaving cream is anotherMiracle remedy for oven cleaning. It removes grease and incrustations and returns the door glass to its original condition. It's also super easy to use: spray the entire inside pane of the oven door with the foam, spread it with your hands and let it take effect for about 30 minutes. Then rinse with water and all stains and dirt should be gone.

Use a dishwashing tablet as an oven cleaner

Dishwasher tablets consist of concentrated dishwashing detergent and promise, above all, to remove stubborn grease and make the dishes shine. It makes sense that these powerful cleaning agents also work on grease and burnt-in stains in the oven. Additionally, the tabs have an abrasive surface that helps remove buildup but is gentle enough not to scratch the oven glass.

All you need is one or two dishwashing tablets and a bowl of warm water. But note:Not all dishwasher tablets are suitable for this purpose. You should use the pressed powder tablets and not the gel capsules that contain liquid.

And this is how it works:

  1. Remove the foil packaging and briefly dip half the tab into warm water. Hold the tablet in the water long enough for it to soak up a little, but not so long that it starts to crumble.
  2. Use the tablet to scrub stubborn stains. You don't need a sponge.
  3. Then lay the tablet flat and use your palm to scrub away the stains in a circular motion.
  4. If the dishwashing tablet starts to dry out, immerse it in warm water again. This method works not only on the glass, but also on the surrounding metal parts of the oven door (although you may need to apply a little more pressure).
  5. When you're finished, wipe away the residue with a damp cloth.

Clean the oven door gap

Have you tried the above methods and only got partial results? This could be due to a dirty washer. For safety reasons, most ovens consist of three or more panes of glass. If dirt has gotten into the middle panes, you should remove the oven door and clean each pane individually.

For detailed instructions, you will need your oven manual. There you will find important information regarding the removal, cleaning and care of your oven and the oven glass. After removing the door, you can clean the individual oven panes using the methods above and then reinstall the oven door. Make sure it is installed correctly and be sure to follow the operating instructions for your oven.
