The cooperation between Prism Design and Mori Design recently created a project for a modern villa in Nanton, China. The architects achieve a feel -good atmosphere through design language, colors, materials and indirect light. This project combines eastern and western aesthetics and tries to express the harmonious relationship between people and nature.
Indirect light and dark wood
The design and planning phase lasted one and a half years. The designers haveElements of Chinese tradition, including art and colors, used and combined with western culture. A lot of indirect light and dark wood shape the whole house and create the mood.
The design of the first floor is based on the topic of transparency. The twice high ceiling in the dining area creates an airy, light atmosphere. A special highlight here is the interesting wall design made of brass plates and mirror elements. The indirect lighting also emphasizes the 3D effect.
The dining area borders on a small, inviting living room with seating area. Since this space is visually reduced, you feel safe and cozy.
The basement houses the gym and a home cinema while there are two bedrooms on the second floor. Particular attention was paid to the design of the children's room. The children's room is kept in wood and white and visually divided into three zones: for learning, sleeping and playing. Colorful accents in orange, red and blue bring a fresh note to the elegant, dark furnished room. The hanging chair made of acrylic promises hours of fun or relaxation.
In the children's room
A black LED wall bar was attached to the wall behind the bed, which gives the room a unique atmosphere. This wall bar hides the light source and spreads a cozy light throughout the room.
On the third floor there is the main bedroom, where cream tones and walnut wood surfaces also dominate. On the fourth floor is the private study, which can also be used as a bedroom.
