Simply use one of the other recipes or the variant that we present to you based on the basic recipe.

– 300 g ready-made cake base (light or dark as desired)
– 140 g double cream cheese
– 60 g Butter
– 70 g powdered sugar
– Dark chocolate couverture
– 1 tbsp rum if desired (or a few drops of baking flavor)
– Sprinkles in any shape and color
– Sticks for the cake pops (e.g. skewers)

1. Crumble the base, whether ready-made or homemade and cooled, into a bowl.
2. Mix the cream cheese with the soft butter, powdered sugar and rum. It is best to use a hand mixer and stir for about 3 minutes.

3. Gradually add the finished cream to the crumbs. A malleable mass must be created. But make sure that the mixture doesn't get too wet, otherwise it will stick to your hands when shaping.
4. Divide the finished dough into 18 approximately equal parts. Form these into small balls and put them in the fridge to firm up.

5. Chop the couverture into small pieces and melt in a water bath. Take the required amount of wooden sticks and dip them into the couverture to a depth of approx. 1 cm.
6. Then place a cake pop ball on each stick. They go back into the fridge for another 15 minutes.

7. If the couverture has solidified after 15 minutes, melt it again. Now dip each ball into the glaze, simply tapping off any excess chocolate.
8. As long as the icing has not yet set, you can decorate the balls with sprinkles and other edible decorations.

Prepare the cake base yourself (for 30 to 40 pieces)

– 250 g Butter
– 200g sugar
– 6 Owner
– 100 ml milk
– 400 g Flour
– 1 packet of vanilla sugar
– 1 pack of baking powder
