In principle, you can use any dough recipe you like. So if you already have a favorite cake, you can easily use it as a Cakesicles recipe. - 60 g soft butter
- 70g powdered sugar
- 140 g cream cheese
- 600 g chocolate coating (white can also be colored)

For the Cakesicles recipe, crumble the cake in a bowl. In another bowl, mix the butter with the powdered sugar and cream cheese. Then add this mixture to the cake crumbs and knead a dough with your hands. Then melt 500 g of the couverture in a water bath over low heat. If you use white chocolate coating, you can color it as desired with food coloring.

Then put 1 to 2 teaspoons of the chocolate coating in the first cavity and use it and the spoon to coat the entire mold. Repeat with the other cavities and place the mold in the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden more quickly. Then repeat these steps one more time to get a thicker chocolate layer that doesn't break easily.
The troughs are then filled with the prepared cake batter. You need about 1 teaspoon per well. You can make it easier to distribute in the cavity by first forming the dough into a ball and then into a roll and flattening it a little. This means you don't have to apply too much pressure in the cavity afterwards, which could break the chocolate. Be careful not to overfill the trough. There should be 2 to 3 mm of space at the edge for the other layer of couverture. Then press one eachPopsicle stick into the doughand cover the small cakes with a layer of couverture (about 1 teaspoon each). Place the cakesicles in the fridge for 20 minutes, then in the freezer for 10 minutes and back in the fridge for another 60 minutes. The Cakesicles recipe is now ready.

Alternatively, for the Cakesicles recipe, you can first fill the cavities with the dough, insert the ice cream sticks and then let them harden in the freezer for 20 to 30 minutes. Before you take out the cakesicles, melt the chocolate coating.
