Quick and easy beer snack recipes

Fried chicken is an essential beer snack, right? The crispy, fried shell of these juicy chicken wings pairs perfectly with cold beer and will make football night even more special. With the following recipe you can make crispy wings in the oven and enjoy the beer even more.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken wings
- 2 level tablespoons baking powder (NO baking soda)
- 1/2-1 tsp salt (to taste)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- other spices as desired
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 120°C fan and place a rack on a large baking tray (or simply use the oven rack and tray).
- Split the wings at the joint so you get a mini wing and a drumette.
- Dry the wings very well with paper towels, then place them in a large bowl and add baking powder, salt and spices. Swivel to combine everything well.
- Place the chicken wings on the rack in a single layer, skin side up. It's okay if they touch each other. Discard remaining coating once poured together.
- Place on the bottom rack of the oven for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, turn the oven up to 220°C and rotate the tray so that they cook evenly. Bake for another 30 minutes until the wings are lightly golden and crispy.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
- Enjoy simply as is or with a sauce of your choice and of course with your favorite beer.
Make your own mozzarella sticks as snacks with your beer
Crispy, cheesy and very tasty, these homemade mozzarella sticks will quickly disappear from the plate, so it's best to make a double batch! Beer goes well with anything fried, and this meatless snack will appeal to vegetarians too.
Ingredients:
- 500 g firm mozzarella
- 2 large eggs
- 100 g Panko breadcrumbs
- Spices of your choice, e.g. B. Italian seasoning, dried parsley, garlic powder, black pepper, among others
- 1 pinch of salt
- 60 g Flour
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Dip of your choice
Preparation:
- Place panko in a Ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin or mallet until fine crumbs form.
- Place the shredded panko in a shallow bowl, add spices and salt and stir to combine.
- In a separate, shallow bowl, crack 2 large eggs and beat with a whisk.
- Place the flour in another shallow bowl or on a plate.
- Cut the mozzarella block widthways into 15 sticks.
- Dip one stick at a time into the flour and shake off any excess flour. Then dip into the beaten egg and let the excess drip off. Finally, dip in the panko crumb mixture, making sure the entire cheese stick is covered in panko.
- Place a wire rack on a baking sheet and place the breaded mozzarella sticks on it. Once all the sticks are breaded, place in the freezer and chill for at least an hour.
- To fry: While the sticks are still in the freezer, heat a medium pot of vegetable oil to 375°F. Then take the sticks out of the freezer.
- Fry 2 sticks at a time until golden brown (about 1 minute), then remove to a paper towel-lined plate to cool. Make sure the oil is back to the correct temperature before frying the next batch.
- Enjoy the sticks while they are still warm, dipped in the sauce of your choice.
A notice:You can also prepare the mozzarella sticks with beer in the oven or in the hot air fryer.
- In the oven: Bake at 210 °C on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil or baking paper for approx. 10-15 minutes.
- In the hot air fryer: Spray the sticks with cooking spray and fry at 200°C for approx. 6-8 minutes, turning them over halfway through.
Recipe for potato wedges with beer
No matter what beer, fries are always good. But instead of the classic fries, you can use thesedelicious potato wedgesPrepare with Parmesan. They arevery crispyand aromatically seasoned so that they taste wonderful with beer.
Ingredients:
- 3 large potatoes, washed and peeled
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 teaspoons each paprika, onion powder and garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dry rosemary, fine, not too coarse
- 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
- fresh chopped parsley
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bring a pot of water to the boil.
- Rinse the potatoes, add them to the boiling water and bring to the boil. After 5 minutes of cooking, remove the potatoes from the hot water in a colander. Drain carefully so that they don't break.
- Place the slightly cooled potatoes back into a large bowl and add the spices and olive oil. Toss the potato slices well so that they are well coated.
- Then place on a baking tray lined with baking paper, leaving some space between each piece. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the potatoes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- Remove from the oven and allow the potatoes to cool for a few minutes, then transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with some freshly chopped parsley or grated Parmesan.
