- Place the pulp in cheesecloth and squeeze until the juice separates from the pulp. Set the pure juice aside.
- Remove the pulp from the cloth into a pot, add the water, bring to the boil and simmer for about 8 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Strain the juice through the cheesecloth one last time. Discard the pulp.
- Add the previously squeezed, pure juice to the cooled juice mixture. Sweeten with sugar if desired.
