Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 300 Gram Paella-Reis
  • 800 ml chicken stock
  • 200 ml water
  • 600 grams of chicken breast or chicken thighs with the skin
  • 1 large onion, chopped finely
  • 1 red pepper, chopped small
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 100 grams of green peas
  • 100 grams of green beans
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder, mild
  • Fresh parsley, chopped finely
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Paella with chicken breast Preparation:

  • Heat half the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Fry the garlic and onion for 2-3 minutes and add the diced peppers.
  • Cook everything for 5-8 minutes or until the vegetables are nice and soft. Stir occasionally.
  • Remove from pan and set aside.
  • Add the remaining olive oil to the pan and fry the chicken for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  • Add the diced tomatoes and sauté everything.
  • Add onions, peppers and garlic back to the pan.
  • Add the water and chicken broth, increase the heat and cook for 25-30 minutes.
  • Reduce the temperature again and add the rice. For Spanish paella with chicken, the rice should always be visible and must not be stirred. Instead, it is distributed by shaking the pan evenly. Season with salt, pepper and paprika powder.
  • Cook the chicken paella for 17-20 minutes until the water is almost completely absorbed and the rice becomes fluffy and dry. If necessary, add more liquid.
  • Now add the peas, green beans and chopped parsley and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  • Finally, cover the pan with a cloth and let the dish sit for a few minutes. And voilà – your delicious chicken paella is ready!

  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the onion, garlic, chicken and chorizo ​​to the pan and cook, stirring regularly, for 5 minutes.
  • Add red pepper and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Add tomato paste and stir well.
  • Add the soaked saffron and rice and stir for a few minutes to soak up the wonderful flavor.
  • Now pour the chicken broth into the pan, season with salt and pepper and simmer for about 15 minutes.
  • Stir regularly from the outside to the inside and vice versa and add a little more water if necessary.
