Surprise the children with delicious candy for Halloween. The first recipe is extremely simple and is guaranteed to please the children. First you need to bake the pretzel sticks. You need the following ingredients:

  • 500g plain flour
  • 1 Pkt. Hefe
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • Sea salt for sprinkling
  • 1 egg yolk (medium size)
  • Sunflower oil for brushing
  • Backpinsel
  • Tigerroller
  • baking tray
  • baking paper

Mix the flour, yeast and salt together, add 350 ml of warm water and 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil, knead all the ingredients into a dough and let it rise for half an hour. Then divide the dough into 20 equal pieces and roll each piece thinly. Then roll the pieces with your fingers and let them rise for half an hour. Set the oven to 180 degrees with a fan and line a baking tray with baking paper. Place the sticks on the baking paper, leaving at least 1cm space between them. Brush them first with the egg yolk and then with sunflower oil. Sprinkle them with the sea salt and bake for 25 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.

First let the pretzel sticks cool at room temperature. You can then melt the white chocolate in a water bath. Simply crumble the chocolate or cut it into small pieces with a knife. Bring water to the boil in a pot. Then set the stove to the lowest setting. Place the chocolate in a metal bowl and place on the pot. Make sure that the bowl does not come into contact with the water. Melt the chocolate, stirring constantly. Make sure that the temperature does not exceed 34 degrees. If the chocolate gets too hot, it will lose its shine.

Then dip the pretzel sticks halfwayinto the chocolateand let them drain on baking paper. Paint the faces of the ghosts or mummies with a sugar font (Dr. Oetker has a chocolate-flavored sugar font, for example).
