Do not rub the paste into the roots, but distribute it as evenly as possible along the length of the hair and into the tips. Leave the home remedy on for 10 minutes and then rinse it off. You can apply a nourishing mask as long as it does not contain chamomile or other ingredients that cause yellow dye.
Remove yellow tint from gray hair with vinegar rinse
Apple cider vinegar can quickly neutralize the yellowing effect. Wash the hair with a white shampoo with a neutral pH, suitable for daily use. Pour 12 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and 150 ml of water into a bowl and rinse your hair with it. Leave the vinegar rinse on for about 20 minutes, then rinse your hair with lukewarm water. Style your hair as usual. You can also apply conditioner. Rinse your hair with the vinegar solution once a week.
By the way, you can also use freshly squeezed lemon juice if you don't have apple cider vinegar at home. Dissolve the juice in 250 ml of water and let the conditioner work for 15 minutes.
Rinse with Betonie flowers
The real betonia has small, violet-blue flowers that play the main role in the next home remedy. Heat 1 liter of water and add a handful of Betonie flowers to the water. Leave the flowers in the water for a few minutes. The rule of thumb is: the darker the yellow tint, the darker the conditioner should be. So if you only notice a light yellow shade in your hair, then the conditioner should be a lavender color. However, if the yellow tint is darker, then leave the flowers in the conditioner until it turns dark purple. Then take out the flowers or strain the conditioner. Wash the hair and rinse it first with the conditioner and then with water.
