Concrete floors and walls create a unique atmosphere in a rustic loft apartment in Chicago

A loft apartment that gives the impression that everything inside has already been forgotten and then rediscovered again? The designer and architect Serhii Seinov has designed a rustic, industrial-style living space in Chicago that skilfully combines industrial ideas with a modern interpretation of country house style furnishings. The combination of rustic furniture and accents with the loft character creates an interesting contrast that gives the apartment a unique atmosphere. Concrete floors and walls are noticeable at first glance. As you can see for yourself in the following pictures, from a bird's eye view the room appears almost soft and cozy despite the solid concrete floor. The modernly interpreted loft apartment, which is predominantly furnished in gray, has a living, dining and cooking area as well as a bedroom and bathroom, which can be reached via stairs.

Imrustically furnished living roomA huge L-shaped sofa with light gray upholstery invites you to relax and linger. A bright carpet sticks out from under the sofa, oriented in an interesting way. The carpet marks the path to the comfortable seating, but at the same time leads back to the dining area. An ensemble of two tables and an old plant pot was skillfully arranged on the carpet in a slightly lighter shade than the concrete floor, which acts as an interesting centerpiece in the apartment. The small side table made of tree trunk and the coffee table with pretty engravings reflect the rustic style and fit perfectly into the rest of the interior.

Concrete floors and walls add industrial charm

A touch ofindustriellem ChicThe solid wooden table with a rough surface and the six stools made of dark wood bring. A rustic kitchen forms the backdrop for the dining area. The kitchen island is another table made of weathered wood, at the end of which a metal chair with a worn finish and lots of character has been placed. An industrial-looking exhaust pipe was fitted with LED lights at the bottom to illuminate the kitchenette. A rustic wood-burning stove further emphasizes the industrial character of the facility.

In the bedroom, the vaulted concrete ceiling creates a great contrast to the light floorboards. The furnishing conceptwas continued here too, but expanded to include another natural element. Rattan baskets and pendant lights create warmth and comfort in the sleeping area. In the bathroom, they also stayed true to the selected color and material concept.
