Already in the planning phase, the architects faced a major challenge. For example, the builders wanted a villa with a flat roof, but according to the local regulations, every house that is made up of several outbuildings should have at least one gable roof. The clients wanted to protect their privacy, but unfortunately the property was at an intersection and has direct neighbors on the other two sides.

With a lot of creativity, the architects have found solutions for all problems. They designed a house that consists of two construction volume and an extension. The first construction volume has a gable roof that merges into a flat roof, while the second and the covered terrace have flat roofs. In order to ensure optimal lighting conditions at any time of the day, the architects also designed a covered terrace. It is mounted on two metal rails and, like a podium in the theater, can be moved to the side. In this way, the modern cultivation fulfills several functions. The furnishings are specifically simple and held on the minimum. There are several bean bags on the terrace and a small glass table. The spacious living area houses a white puristic cuisine with a cooking island, a spacious dining area in anthracite for ten people and a gray living landscape for ten people.

A modern sculpture and attractive lighting over the dining area spice up the otherwise simple interior. Due to the color combination of white and gray, the architects received a facility full of tension and created a contemporary ambience.
