Less is more. In recent years, this old wisdom has almost been forgotten in the hype about Tikk-Beauty trends, Kardashian fleeing lips and Korean "10-step routines". To the dismay of the dermatologists, who were increasingly faced with over-maintained skin and unrealistic beauty wishes of their patients. A counter trend is„Skinimalism“. The pun from "skin" and "minimalism" emphasizes simplicity in skin care. We wanted from that of the dermatologist and nutritionist at Lvate Munich, Priv.-Doz. Dr. Anne Gürtler know why scinimalism not only in the, but also in the case of aesthetic dermatological treatments is increasingly being asked why the "Overfilled Face Syndrome" will soon be history. And what needs to be considered.

ELLE: What are the biggest trends in terms of ski cars from the dermatological point of view in 2025?
Dr. Anne Gürtler:The German market differs from the American and Asian market, even if we are influenced by them. When it comes to skin care, we notice that many moreQuality as a quantityseek. Care routines become more minimalist, consumption more sustainable. A countermovement to the complicated skin care routines of recent years. Today, more attention is paid to the individual needs of the skin and products that are specially tailored to these needs are used. We also find that more and more in aesthetic dermatologycollagen -stimulating treatmentsbe asked and the number of filler treatments decreases. Laser treatments also increase.
Where does the trend come from?
Dr. Dr. :The patients want to optimize their natural appearance rather than change. It is less about perfection than promoting natural skin health. Skinimimism is the counter-movement to the overloaded Skincare hype in recent years. Tikok trends such as "10-step routines" led to skin irritation in many. At the same time, awareness of sustainability is growing, which many moves to make their product selection more consciously.

And now the trend has also arrived in aesthetic dermatology?
Dr. Dr. :The excessive use of fillers has led to some “negative examples” with unnatural results in recent years, which have been perceived as "overfilled" or mask -like. Today the demand for subtle and natural results is greater. Our patients still want to look like themselves, and the most important thing for them is that they never look "made". The trend is towards optimization and not to change. This does not mean that you can't achieve nice results with fillers. In the lip area in particular, hyaluronic acid films are still the leading treatment for the volume structure and contouring, but for the medium face (cheeks/nasolabial folds), many choose other treatments today.
And what are these treatments?
Dr. Dr. :First of all: ideals of beauty are very individual! And I can only speak of my own patients here. These want to continue to look natural. Others, in turn, feel exactly that as beautiful. Important: patient and practitioner should be openly communicate in the preliminary discussion. The*The individually suitable practitioner is the first step towards the success of treatment! Many wishes todayMinimally invasive treatments with little or no downtime at all. So -calledBiostimulating injections, to stimulate and/or to get the body's own collagen production, are very popular recently. Collagen production decreases from the age of 30. Together with changes in other facial compartments-such as adipose tissue and bone substance-this leads to aging facial features. In addition, I like to use "energy -based devices" like laser.
Keira Knightley (39) is the perfect Role model of the scinimalism trend: radiantly beautiful, but no trace of unnatural fillers and excessive botox use.

Can a laser stop the signs of the times?
Dr. Dr. :For example, many people complain that their skin looks "old". On closer inspection, it turns out that pigment shifts and redness contributed to this uneven and "aged" complexion. Through targeted treatment with lasers, this canSkin optimizedbecome. Will additionally theCollagen production stimulated by biostimulatorssustainable results can be achieved.
What does sustainable mean in this context?
Dr. Dr. :You have to be aware that these conversion processes naturally need time and that the results only become visible after a few months. For many, however, this is a more sustainable investment than other treatments that are absorbed again after a few months.
More and more very young people are going to the beauty -d. Which treatments between 20 and 30 years make sense?
Dr. Dr. :The choice of treatment always depends on individual needs and requires individual advice. Just because the best friend did the treatment XY does not mean that this treatment is the right one for me too. The aesthetic portfolio is very wide! For young people (from 20 to 30 years) there are preventive measures such as the application ofSunscreen, light chemicalandmoisturizing treatments(e.g. "Skinbooster") in the foreground.
And from 30 years?
Dr. Dr. :From the beginning/mid -30s will be commonBotulinum toxin treatmentsand firstInjections of biostimulatorsused. From the age of 40, combined approaches such asLaser treatments, Biostimulators, but alsoHyaluronic acidfor targeted volume adjustment meaning.
Are the effects visible immediately?
Dr. Dr. :In order to achieve subtle and natural results, several sessions are often required. At the beginning, this always has to be clearly communicated in order to correctly align expectations. Maximum effects, immediately and without downtime, are often unrealistic. But: Many minimally invasive treatments are almost painless or are only carried out under local anesthesia.
In the case of beauty treatments, the trend towards optimization and not to change is.
Dr. Anne Gürtler
And what do these treatments cost?
Dr. Dr. :Depending on the treatment, the costs are very different. From 300 euros for botulinum toxin treatment up to four -digit prices for large or complex laser treatments. Every aesthetic treatment should be seen as a well -considered investment. Our task as a practitioner is always very honest and individually to educate about benefits and risk.
What can you do for your skin?
Dr. Anne Gürtler:The skin should always be maintained age-appropriate: "pro-aging" instead of "anti-aging". Aging skin, for example, needs more re -greasing. Problems such as pigment shifts, redness, loss of moisture can also be specifically taken into account with active ingredient complexes in coordinated skin care products. For example, vitamin C for pigment shifts, a soothing serum based on hyaluronic acid for redness, vitamin A acid for impurities ... but please only use one to a maximum of two active ingredients! However, the basis of all of these treatments should always be a health -promoting lifestyle (note: what Dr. Anne Gürtler Do and eat privately for your skin, read) be. Even if many don't want to hear it: wrong, Smoking, alcohol consumption, lack of sleep and stress cannot be compensated for by aesthetic treatment!
