Valentine's Day: Simple recipe for the delicious heart cake

As is well known, love goes through the stomach. Surprise your sweetheart on Valentine's Day with this delicious heart cake.

Well, have you already got a little something for Valentine's Day? Even if most say that they do not celebrate February 14th, I am sure that they are still happy about a little attention.

Our current recipe is a totally simple cake from ingredients that you definitely have at home. It not only tastes delicious, it also hides a little heart shape in the dough. Perfect to say "I love you"!

Recipe for a cake with heart

Depending on the preference - and depending on what you have in the pantry - you can work with our recipe with food coloring or cocoa. So you conjure up colorful or chocolate hearts in the dough.

You need that for a box shape (20 cm):

For the heart:

  • 150 g Butter
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 3 owner
  • 230 g Mehl
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 75 ml milk
  • Some salt
  • Some cinnamon
  • Optional: a little lemon abrasion

For the outer cake

  • 150 g Butter
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 3 owner
  • 230 g Mehl
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 75 ml milk
  • Some salt
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • Optional: chocolate glaze

Additionally: Cocoa powder or food coloring

This is how the recipe succeeds:

1. First of all, you have to decide whether the heart or outer part of the cake should be colored. Depending on the food color or cocoa, you have to put food in the "inner" or "outer" dough later.

2. Now it is time to mix the ingredients for the heart. Warm the butter in the microwave so that it becomes soft. Then stir until foamy with the help of a hand mixer.

3. Add the eggs one after the other. Stir in the milk and optionally lemon zest. Mix the flour in a separate bowl with the baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Then slowly mix under the moist ingredients. If thatHerzshould be colorful, add color or some cocoa.

4. Grease the box shape, flour lightly and fill the dough in. Smooth dysfunction and in the preheated oven175 °C(Upper heat) for55–60 minutesbake. Take out after the chopstick sample, let it cool.

7. Grease and flour the box shape. Then spread some of the "outer" dough on the bottom of the box shape. Place the hearts close together in a row.

8. Finally, fill in the remaining dough, smooth the smooth, bake again for 50–60 minutes. If you like, you can then cover the cake with chocolate glaze.
