First in the video: Why do we decorate the Christmas tree with balls?
You can decorate much more than just the Christmas tree with Christmas tree balls. Here you will find instructions for a Christmas ball wreath.
AWithout Christmas tree balls is simply unthinkable - the shiny, colorful balls are far too beautiful. But they don't just look great on trees. You can also use the Christmas tree balls for other decorations.
Today we have instructions for a beautiful, homemade wreath made of Christmas tree balls for you. You can either hang it on the front door or place it decoratively on the dining or coffee table.
Make your own wreath out of Christmas tree balls: This is what you need
You can get really creative when putting together the wreaths. Because there are basically no limits to the color combinations. Whether it's a colorful wreath with bright colors, a classic red and green wreath or one in simple cream and pink tones - the result is guaranteed to look elegant.
You need these materials for the DIY wreath:
- Acrylic paint and a brush
- If necessary, tape or string for hanging
When choosing Christmas tree baubles, it is recommended to buy ready-made sets. This way you can be sure that the balls fit together visually and that the wreath looks harmonious in the end. In addition, you should also get a few small balls. This will allow you to perfectly fill the gaps later.
Step-by-step instructions
1. Prime the base wreath with some acrylic paint. This prevents the white Styrofoam from showing through gaps between the balls later. The color should match the color scheme of your balls so that it doesn't stand out. If you use a straw wreath, you can wrap a ribbon in a matching color around it.
2. Remove the metal cap from which the balls are hung while preheating the hot glue gun. Now start by gluing the balls to the outside of the wreath - the protuberance of the suspension points towards the wreath so that it is not visible later.
