In order to remove moss from the joints of the terrace or the farm, you should use these home remedies instead of too expensive green space remover.
After the winter break, gardening starts again in spring. During this time, the cold and rainy weather may have ensured that unpleasant green has spread between the terrace joints, on the house wall or on garden paths: moss.
Moss is not only unsightly, but also really annoying. The rampant green can cause real damage, especially on house facades. The moisture can penetrate into the walls in the long run. Fortunately, there are a few simple home remedies with which you can get the green covering under control.
Remove moss from joints with potato or pasta water
A home remedy from the kitchen that you otherwise always disposed of directly is a real insider tip against moss in joints: the cooking water of pasta or potatoes. It is only important here that the water is not salted. The cooking water contains starch that clogs the plant pores of the weed.
Pours the unsalted, still hot pasta or potato water onto the areas covered with moss. After a few days you can sweep away the dead weed. Disadvantage of this method: only the upper part of the moss dies. In order to get rid of moss on the terrace in the long term, you have to repeat this method several times.

Cola is an effective home remedy for moss
Who would have thought that the caffeinated soft drink from the fridge also helps against moss? This is due to the phosphoric acid it contains. It works against moss and even prevents new growth.
Small spots overgrown with moss on stones and joints as well as algae deposits, for example, can be cleaned with cola at roller shops, which even reportsMy beautiful garden. The sticky home remedy is rather unsuitable on larger areas.
So you apply the home remedy in the garden:
1. If the cola applies undiluted to the places covered with moss and rubs the drink with a sponge, cloth or a brush. Tip: For example, you can reach the house facades with a spray bottle in which you have filled the drink to poorly reached areas. Let the whole thing work a little.
2. After that, the cola rinses thoroughly with clear water. After all, you don't want to attract ants or wasps.
3. Now the moss should be easily removed with a brush. Remember to fill joints in the terrace or on garden paths with sand or grout so that no other weed can be stuck there.
