Make a small Christmas tree out of egg carton

Egg carton, acrylic paints, optional decorations such as glitter, fake snow or pipe cleaners and star for the Christmas tree topper, hot glue

  • If you want to make small Christmas trees, you will need at least three cardboard tips per tree, depending on how tall you want it to be.
  • Paint them classic green or any other more modern color. Let them dry.
  • Leave the bottom tip as it is. For all others, cut serrations into the edges.
  • Optional: Apply liquid glue to the jagged edges and dip them in glitter. Allow the glue to dry.
  • Optional: Poke a hole in one of the serrated tips (this will be the top one). Take a piece of pipe cleaner, tie a knot at one end and push it through the cardboard tip from the bottom. Think about how long you want the pipe cleaner to be and cut off the excess. Glue a star to the end.
  • Pin the tips together. You can also fix them in place with a dab of hot glue.

Tip: You can also attach loops to all figures and then use them as Christmas tree pendants or hang them in other places as Christmas decorations.
