The leaves are becoming more and more colorful and are now starting to fall from the trees. How can you not get excited about craft ideas for fall? If this is the case, it's best to go outside and collect lots of autumn leaves that you can use for various craft projects.
We have even found some beautiful and simple craft ideas with leaves that are suitable for this purpose, some of which are also suitable for children and with which you can make beautiful autumn decorations yourself. So, what can you make with leaves? You will find out in the following lines.
Make owls with leaves
For such cute owls, in addition to the leaves, you will also need a transparent plastic bag, like the one used for wrapping gifts. You can also weld a bag yourself using foil and get an individual size. The bag is then filled with leaves. You can use different leaf colors or put together monochrome models such as yellow, brown or red. Then fold the top opening back and staple it in place if necessary. Then cut out eyes from construction paper. Here too you can choose the colors yourself. Don't forget the triangular beak, which is glued partly under the eyes along with other leaves for the wings. Leaves are also used to cover the fold of the bag.
This craft idea with leaves is also a great gift idea. You can not only use leaves to fill, but also small gifts or sweets. If you choose something edible, we recommend that you do not put the leaves in the bag fresh, but rather heat them with an iron beforehand to destroy any bacteria that may have developed due to the moisture. But drying or ironing is also a good idea.
Design lanterns

Wax paper or other slightly transparent paper is also suitable. The sheet of paper is simply rolled up like a cylinder and the edges are glued together. Alternatively, you can also use a bread bag. Then spread a few leaves here and there. Then place an LED candle in the middle of the cylinder to make the lantern light up. Since the entire lantern is made of flammable materials, a real candle should not be used.
You can also make a lantern yourself using leaves and glass. A simple mason jar of any size is used. Both larger compote jars and jam jars are suitable for this purpose. They are wrapped on the one hand with parchment paper and on the other hand with collected leaves. These can be distributed all around or, as here, form a specific motif such as a turkey. Just experiment and make several lanterns at once.

This also includes this cute fairy, which you can use as a pendant for an autumn bouquet made of branches with leaves and berries or for the window. You will need: two leaves, a felt ball, a pine cone, an acorn hat and felt for the hair.
The easiest way to attach the individual materials to each other is with hot glue. But other liquid adhesives are also suitable. Start by gluing the felt ball onto the cone. Then add the hair and then the hat. The end is two sheets of paper that you should glue to the back and represent the wings. You can either attach the string for hanging to the back and hide it behind the wing leaves. Another variant is to pierce the acorn cap and tie the string inside using a knot.
