- Now glue green pompoms around the bottom edge of the hat. If you want, you can also decorate the tip of your hat with it.
- Poke small holes in the paper at two opposite points at the bottom edge, to which you tie a piece of rubber, which should better fix the hats on your head. Alternatively, hairbands also work.
Place the hats on the children's and parents' plates, or place them on a separate table so everyone can grab one if they want.

This is how easy it is to make decorations for the summer party in the daycare center:
- Option 1 would be to print out our templates and cut out any front and back side for the wind turbine and glue them together. In this case, fold the square twice diagonally so that you get an X and go with itPoint 7further.
- If you don't have a color printer, you can also take normal construction paper and stick the two colors together.
- Then take one corner and fold it over to the other edge of the paper, creating a diagonal fold. Cut off the free strip. If you now open the paper, you will get a square.
- Draw the melon seeds with a black marker.
- Fold the paper diagonally in half again, but this time at the other two corners. You should now see an X when you open the paper.
- In dark green, scribble four stripes along the folds to imitate the pattern of the melon rind.
- Cut the paper about two-thirds deep along the diagonal folds.
- Always punch holes in the paper to the left of these cuts. So you always leave out one of the newly obtained corners before punching again.
- Turn the paper over so the red side is facing up and poke a hole through the center.
- Poke a hole through the top of the straw.
- Now fold the corners with the holes towards the middle of the paper square and collect them there by pushing them through the thumbtack and then through the middle hole and the straw and bending them apart.
Cool tip:You can also leave out the straw and use the pinwheels instead to create aMake party garland.
